New publication in BMC Medical Ethics

Nola Ries, with co-authors Jane LeGrandeur and Timothy Caulfield, published an analysis of how six birth cohort studies in North America and Europe that involve genetic research handle key ethical, legal and social issues. Panel discussion on Vancouver's supervised injection facility - November 2, 2010

Nola Ries is a panellist at an event hosted by the University of Alberta's Centre for Constitutional Studies and Health Law Institute. Insights on Insite: policy and legal dimensions of the supervised drug injection site case will be held on November 2, 2010.

New publication in the Canadian Medical Association Journal

Nola Ries and colleague Barbara von Tigerstrom of the University of Saskatchewan have published an analysis of laws to promote healthy eating and physical activity in the February 16, 2010 edition of the Canadian Medical Association Journal.

Commentary on direct-to-consumer genetic tests
